Microsoft unveils on demand email
The giant software company, Microsoft has introduced its online services in India for enabling easy access to its lucrative business productivity software. The service can be availed by paying $2 per month, which allows small, medium scale business and customer enterprises to acquire Microsoft’s collaboration, conferencing, emails and productivity abilities online. Customer can get the service room directly from www.microsoft.com/india/onlineservices and subscribed for monthly basis payment fee.
Company is presently expecting the savings of 10 to 50 percent on IT costs. Companies like Wipro, Infosys and HCL Infosystems are to market and provide the value added services around the Microsoft online services. The launch is the portion of Microsoft Software with Services strategy that aims to offer the reliability and choice of availing software utilization both on premise and off the internet or the combination of both. The president of the Microsoft Business Group Stephen Elop said in a statement that, in today’s competition in the global market business it is much required to have a lucrative and effective technology that enables flexibility and adds more value to the organizations.
India will avail this online service of Microsoft from November 7, 2009 onwards. The case study by the global consultancy Mohan and Browne, states that the market of hosted email will arise at a compounded annual growth rate of around 50 percent, were 28 percent of the email solutions will be run on the hosted model by 2012.
