Joomla Vs WordPress
It is very hard to find which is better among the Joomla and WordPress. This is because both platforms are very strong and active in communities that are constantly improving their products based on the feedback of community. For using the small sites, WordPress Blogs provides a viable solution that introduces more plugins for the past one year. The WordPress Plugins are user friendly and very easy to build a website instead of just a blog.
However, Joomla is the matured one that releases of 1.5 platforms solves the more problems of the original versions. The main advantage here is they rebuilt themselves instead of patching the previous Joomla versions. The Search friendly URL’s are now built in to the Joomla that makes the Joomla sites to ranked high in the search engines. One of the WordPress Plugins of “All in One SEO Pack” also helps to rank high in the search engines. However, both are has the similar qualities, but Joomla can be preferred for the larger sites.
In Joomla, it has the special feature of creating the multiple menus, but the WordPress Plugins can allow creating menus with many levels. Hence Joomla allows creating the multiple menus located at the top, side and bottom of the Joomla website. This feature is not available in the WordPress. Not only Joomla had this, also let to move the contents in the different positions and helps in defining the modules positions in the Joomla template. But it is limited in WordPress and we cannot display content. Even the WordPress has the option to create custom themes but it is always in main column and 1 or 2 sidebars.
WordPress are first designed to be a blog system and evolved to a content management system. However, Joomla has introduced it as a content management system and starts to grow. Even there is severe competition with the both platforms still they are easy to use in admin interface, but Joomla has the lot of features which makes the users to feel hard to use it. In case both of the platforms are used in web development that results in developing the efficient and effective website.
