Australia brings out Web filters

Australia Web filterAustralia aims to introduce the web filters that ban access to websites having criminal content. The Communication Minister Stephen Conroy said that the banned sites are picked by an independent classification body leaded by complaints from the Public. The technology was found by the seven months trial in association with the Internet service providers to bring the 100% effective filter. This filter introduction has also been opposed by some internet users.

Twitter users have admitted their disapproval by adding the comment about the plans. The spokesperson for Electronic Frontiers Australia, Colin Jacobs said that the successful technology will not be the successful required policy. He also added that they are waiting for the explanation for what this filter has been introduced and who it will help. The respond from the Mr. Conroy said that the filter is mainly developed for the purpose of banning the gambling sites. The merge of additional resources for awareness and education, mandatory filtering of refused classification content, and optional ISP level filtering offers the safety balance for families and the digital revolution benefits, said by Conroy.

The laws of the filter will be revealed in parliament on August 2010 and the duration takes a year to implement. The Principal analyst of Juniper Research, Dr Windsor said that the filter is the historical attempt which is more effective required currently. He also added it is more important to protect the younger children and youths from the vulnerable websites and the illegal websites to be get blocked.
