The firm revealed that BT will accomplish the superfast broadband network for the Olympic Games in 2012. This offer high speed of 100 Megabits per second (Mbps) using £1.5bn fibre-optic network for the certain customers in order to support high definition video. But this service will reach only 40% of the homes in cities and towns. Initially the company has announced that the programme will get completed by 2013 but said that they are ahead in their schedule to bring their product earlier. The CEO of BT, Ian Livingston said that they are now making the arrangements for four million homes to get the fibre optic broadband network by the next year end.
